Chelsea Tracking Tottenham's Giovanni

Chelsea are reportedly planning a January bid for Tottenham Hotspur's Mexican International Giovani Dos Santos.

The 19-year old, who joined Spurs from Barcelona in a £4.7million move during the summer, is seemingly frustrated at his limited chances at White Hart Lane and Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari is looking to take full advantage of this situation by offering him a place in his Stamford Bridge squad.

The Mexican has made only three starts since his move to Spurs, and is still to play a game under new boss Harry Redknapp.

To make matters worse for the player, who was once regarded as the next Ronaldinho, he is likely to lose his place to 16-year-old John Bostock for Thursday night's home UEFA Cup tie against Dinamo Zagreb.
