Chelsea Close To Completing Ivanović Signing As Ben Haim Could Leave – Blues Interested In Valencia’s Miguel: Reports
According to the reports, Chelsea are said to be close to completing the signing of Lokomotiv Moscow defender Branislav Ivanović while Tottenham Hotspur are linked to Blues centre-back Tal Ben Haim.
Avram Grant’s side are also said to be looking to sign Valencia`s right-back Miguel with his Portugal international team-mate Paulo Ferreira reportedly being thrown in the deal. The Blues are however not the only team reported to be interested in the 28-year-old with Aston Villa also said to be tracking Miguel.
Meanwhile, the move for Ivanović has got stretched due to the difficulty in getting a work permit for the 23-year-old Serbian international, who is said to have cost the west London club over £8 million, as he has not featured in 75% of his country’s recent matches.
But according to Sport Express, The Blues are due to appeal today for the work permit on the grounds that Ivanović is an "exceptional talent".
Ben Haim on the other hand, has failed to impress after arriving at Stamford Bridge on a free transfer from Bolton Wanderers in the summer. The Israel international is said to be a £8m-target for Spurs.
