Chelsea Boss Scolari Unsure Of Robinho’s Man City Path
Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has raised doubts over the circumstances that lead up to Robinho joining Manchester City.
The Brazil international forward was captured by newly cash-rich City on the summer transfer deadline day from Real Madrid in British transfer fee record £32.5m deal, even as Chelsea had tracked the 24-year-old all summer.
Scolari believes that Robinho may have acted under influence of people close to him as it had appeared that the former Santos ace was only determined to join the Stamford Bridge outfit until the seemingly surprising decision of moving to Blues’ Premiership rivals City, who offered a better financial deal.
Scolari told Globo TV: "People around the athletes, sometimes for their own benefit, end up indicating a path that maybe is not the best for them."
Robinho recently ended association with agent Wagner Ribeiro.
