Chelsea Boss Scolari Eyes Real Madrid's Robinho, Not In Arshavin Race?
Chelsea are reportedly keen on Real Madrid's Brazilian forward Robinho, but apparently not interested in Russia star Andrei Arshavin.
According to BBC Sport, the Blues boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has his 24-year-old fellow countryman on his target list.
Real apparently, are not sure they want to do a deal for Robinho (left), who is reportedly set aside by the Spanish giants as a makeweight in their pursuit of Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Scolari, however, revealed that recent reports of Arshavin flying in for talks are false.
After a fine outing at the Euro 2008, Arshavin has been linked with several top sides in Europe where the Blues were considered as one of his options.
However, Scolari has said that the 27-year-old Zenit St Petersburg attacker, who is also a reported target for Barcelona, Arsenal and Tottenham, is not coming to Stamford Bridge.
”The reports which said Arshavin was in London for talks last week are nothing more than rumours,” Scolari told Sunday Express.
”The player is not coming to Chelsea.”
