Chelsea will have to wait until June to check on Amauri’s situation at Palermo after the Brazilian striker decided against a move in the just-concluded January transfer window.

Barcelona, Inter and Juventus are also reportedly keen on the 27-year-old, for whom the Blues had reportedly failed with a £15m bid last month.

“At the moment I am just thinking about having a good second half of the season with Palermo and then the rest can be decided later,” Amauri stated.

“I have been saying for a long time that I wouldn’t leave in January and that we will see what happens in June.”
