Bosingwa Hasn’t Agreed Terms With Man United, Aston Villa Link Refuted
Manchester United do not have any sort of agreement with Porto right-back Jose Bosingwa, the player's agent has said and also refuted the Aston Villa link.
Speculation had claimed that the 25-year-old Portugal international was bound for Old Trafford in close season as terms had already been agreed, but the theory has been dismissed.
Rui Neno is quoted as saying in the Manchester Evening News: "There is not any sort of agreement with Manchester United.
He added: "If any club bid the 30 million euros set by the club, I believe there might be agreement.
"In Bosingwa's contract there is not any buyout clause preventing him from negotiating."
Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson is apparently looking to sign a long-term successor to Gary Neville, who has been out of first team action since March last year.
Neno also rubbished the reports that Aston Villa were also interested in Bosingwa, who is said to be a target for a host of European sides.
"I just have to say that Aston Villa are not among those clubs.
"I have no idea where these suggestions (of Villa interest) came from. I have never been contacted by anyone from Aston Villa.
"It does not seem to me that the player would be interested to sign for Aston Villa, with all respect to the club. He would match up to a Champions League side."
