Cruzeiro striker Marcelo Moreno has claimed Manchester United are one of the clubs that have made a proposal for him.

The Red Devils are likely to sign a target-man in the summer as Louis Saha's future at Old Trafford has come under speculation owing to the France international’s injury problems.

Bolivian Moreno, 20, has been in good form in the Copa Libertadores and as such has drawn attention of United and Shakhtar Donetsk.

He told A Tarde: "We know that we can dream of winning this trophy.

"So when I received the proposals [from United and Shakhtar], I spoke with the directors of the club and we decided to wait until the end of the Copa Libertadores to see what we will do."
