Blackburn In Transfer Market, Reveals Hughes
Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes has said that the search to find the potential new signing is going on in the current transfer window.
Rovers have lost midfielder Robbie Savage to Derby County and are looking to bring in a replacement. As such, they have been linked with a move for Charlton’s Amdy Faye, who is on loan at Rangers, and South Africa international Lance Davids, who plays club football in Sweden.
"We are in the market, we are looking for players and if we can do something sooner rather than later, then that settles everybody down," Hughes told the club's official website.
"It does get harder to find the right players. The quality that is needed now to improve my squad and my team is exceptionally high. Those players don't normally come onto the market in the January transfer window.
"When you look at some of the prices that have been paid in the January window, we can't compete with that price.
"But we keep going. We are doing exceptionally well at the moment and we are pleased with our form and our position. There are a lot of games to play and a lot to look ahead for."
