Blackburn Rovers 2007/08 Premier League Season Run-In Fixtures: Rovers Face Man Utd, Portsmouth, Derby & Birmingham
Blackburn Rovers, currently 9th in the English Premier League with just four matches remaining, still have a very slim chance of finishing in 5th place and securing a UEFA Cup place next season, but will have to win all their remaining matches to even stand a chance of automatically qualifying for a place.
Their first match to win is at home against current Premiership leaders Manchester United, who will also be looking for a win on Saturday evening to help in their quest of retaining the Premier League title.
The final matches in Rovers manager Mark Hughes’ season involve a trip to fellow UEFA Cup candidates Portsmouth, followed by a home game against relegated Derby County, before travelling to possible relegation candidates Birmingham City in a possibly tough encounter in the final match of the 2007/08 season on May 11.
