Blackburn Rope In Santa Cruz Jnr Even As Roque Santa Cruz Is Being Eyed By Man City, Tottenham & Man United
After Roque Santa Cruz proved to be an instant hit in England in his debut season, Blackburn Rovers have now gone on and signed the Paraguayan striker’s younger brother Julio Santa Cruz.
The 18-year-old centre forward, who has joined Paul Ince’s side on a three-year deal from Cerro Porteno, is said to be similar in style to his elder brother, who however is now linked with a move to Manchester City where his ex-boss Mark Hughes is keen for reuniting. Tottenham and Manchester United are also said to be keeping an eye on the former Bayern Munich hit-man.
However, with Julio now coming to Ewood Park, Rovers will hope that at least Roque could stay and make him feel home. Nevertheless, the Jnr Santa Cruz will be apparently starting his career with Rovers reserves, but the club is now awaiting international clearance.
"I am happy to be here at Blackburn, it will be an amazing adventure for me," said Julio on the club’s website.
