Blackburn 0-1 Man United Halftime Update – Brown Puts United In The Lead
Blackburn Rovers are trailing 0-1 to Manchester United at the end of first half in the Premiership game at Ewood Park on Saturday.
Wes Brown headed home off a cross by Wayne Rooney, but Rovers goalkeeper Jason Brown felt aggrieved that the whistle had not gone for what he would term impediment by Nemanja Vidic.
The Rovers goalkeeper, who has stepped in for injured Paul Robinson, had done well until then making a couple of good saves. United though saw Vidic and Darren Fletcher having half-chances, but failing to covert.
Rovers also had their share of opportunities, but no-nonsense defending by Vidic earlier on saw the Serbian clear the ball to safety before Santa Cruz could get to it after Derbyshire’s shot was blocked by Van der Sar. Emerton then had a long-range effort whizzing past the rival goal.
