Birmingham City & Sunderland Promoted To The Premiership - Keane & Bruce In Top Tier Next Season

Both Birmingham City and Sunderland have achieved automatic promotion the the Barclays English Premiership.

The only team that could have managed to reach the automatic promotion places in The Championship, Derby County, failed to win their away-match to Crystal Palace on Sunday, losing 2-0 to The Eagles.

The loss Means that Both Steve Bruce's Birmingham City and Roy Keane's Sunderland will be playing in the Premiership in the 2007/08 season.

Derby County's only chance of promotion is now through the play-off's, where the team finishing third plays the sixth placed team in The Championship, with the fourth and fifth placed teams also meeting to determine the final Premiership place.
