Liverpool’s Israeli International midfielder Yossi Benayoun has pledged his future to the Reds, despite interest from Serie A team AS Roma and being linked with a move to Manchester City or West Ham United in the Premiership.

Benayoun’s future at Anfield had been surrounded in doubt, with Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez needing to raise funds to complete the signing of main target, Gareth Barry at Aston Villa.

The Israeli’s agent had refused to rule out a move to the Stadio Olimpico, but the former West Ham United player is eager to stay at Anfield and fight for his place.

“It is not true that I am about to leave Anfield,” Benayoun told the Daily Star.

“I see my future at Anfield.

“I want to stay and that is what will happen.”
