Barcelona Midfielder Dos Santos Sets Barca As Prime Choice Over Chelsea & Man City
Barcelona's 19 years-old attacking midfielder Giovani dos Santos, who has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester City, has given his current club top priority for continuing his career.
Giovani has 28 appearances and a hat-trick in his last Barcelona league match, helping the team beat Real Murcia 5-3. His first appearance in professional football was on the 2nd of September 2007, substituting Thierry Henry on the 62nd minute. He also has been included in 5 UEFA Champions League matches the past season, scoring one goal.
The 19 years-old is a promising talent and together with his young age he has been a prime target of many major European clubs, including Premier League clubs.
While the player says that his first team option is Barcelona to continue his career, the recent developments in Barca's management do not guarantee him a place in the team's first squad. His half brother who is currently in Barcelona's Juvenil A category team is also a major factor for his decision to continue playing for the Spanish giants.
