Aston Villa are sweating over the availability of Gabriel Agbonlahor and Craig Gardner for tomorrow's Premiership trip to Portsmouth.

Gardner was substituted at half-time in Wednesday's 1-1 home draw with Middlesbrough after picking up a back injury; Agbonlahor has a bruised toe and missed training today.

Villa said on the official website that both are travelling to the south coast and will be assessed tomorrow morning.

It is an important game for Martin O’Neill’s side as both clubs are competing for a league finish that would give them qualification for Europe next season.
