Aston Villa are reportedly trying their best to lure Tottenham’s Younes Kaboul even as Sunderland look to sign the defender.

The Frenchman has already held talks with Black Cats and was apparently set to finalise his move to Roy Keane’s side. However, reports are now rife that the 22-year-old has asked for more time to consider his options.

Villa boss Martin O’Neill is said to have moved in with a late offer to take the former Auxerre man to Villa Park, after Portsmouth were apparently priced out of the move.
