Aston Villa's Curtis Davies Satisfied With Progress
Aston Villa centre-back Curtis Davies has expressed satisfaction on the progress made in his recovery from an Achilles tendon injury.
The 23-year-old Englishman, who is on loan at Villa Park from West Brom, had suffered the injury during the 1-1 draw against Arsenal in March.
“Things are going well,” he told the club’s official website. “I’m finally off the crutches.
“I’ve still got a horrid boot on for support, but at least I’m walking and getting more of a range of movement into my foot.
“Now I’m stepping up my progress with the bike and the weights. I’m able to do a few more things that I couldn’t do when I couldn’t stand up without the crutches.
“I knew this was going to be a long haul, but I’m making quick progression at the moment.
“It’s going to be a long time and I’m not going to forget that. But the main thing is that I’m going well at the moment and I’ve just got to keep it going.”
