Arsenal's Fabregas Wont Rule Out Real Madrid Switch

Manchester United, Arsenal Premiership Transfer News

Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has not ruled out a move to La Liga Champions Real Madrid, but revealed that he is not ready to quit the Emirates Stadium this summer, according to Spanish sports paper Marca.

Real president Ramon Calderon has almost given up on the pursuit of Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, with reports on Saturday linking him with a big money offer for 21-year-old Fabregas.

Fabregas is a product of Madrid’s bitter rivals Barcelona’s Academy, but refused to rule out a switch to the Bernabeu in the future, while insisting he wanted to stay with the Gunners for the immediate future.

“I didn't tell Ramon Calderon no,” Fabregas told Spanish sports daily Marca.

“I told him that now wasn't the time to go to Madrid.

“That you are wanted by Madrid, one of the biggest teams in history, is important.”

Fabregas went on to reveal his frustration at three seasons without silverware at Arsenal and even hinted he could leave if the Gunners ended next season with nothing to show for it.

“To be four seasons without winning any titles would be too much for me,” He added.

“Real Madrid are the favourites to win La Liga this year.”

The Spaniard continued to say that he thought Ronaldo was the key to Manchester United winning the Premiership and Champions League double, going on to say he would shine in the Spanish Capital.

“The league and the Champions League that United won this season was because of Cristiano,” he continued.

“At Madrid he would help them win titles.”
