Arsenal’s Wenger Urges Focus On Milan Clash

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has urged his side to focus on the preparation for the important Champions League first knock-out round clash against holders AC Milan, after the Gunners were thrashed 4-0 by Manchester United in the FA Cup fifth round.

Ahead of Saturday’s Cup clash at Old Trafford, the Gunners were an injury-hit side and Wenger had to make important decisions keeping in mind the mid-week’s Milan showdown.

"I did not have many options. The players who were on the bench were all recommended not to play medically," Wenger told Sky Sports. "I still thought we had a good enough team to have a chance but United were better than us.

"It is important to pick up and prepare for a massive game. My team is upset but they are strong mentally and will recover for Wednesday."
