Arsenal To Return To Marseille For Cana? - Everton Also Linked
Arsenal have been linked with a return to Olympique Marseille for midfielder Lorik Cana. With Premier League rivals Everton also linked to the Albanian International.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has already brought Samir Nasri to the Emirates Stadium from the Stade Velodrome, with it now believed that he is considering an offer for his 25-year-old former team-mate. However Everton are also reported to be monitoring the situation in case they fail to land main transfer target Joao Moutinho from Sporting Lisbon.
Marseille captain Cana has admitted that he is considering his future with the Ligue 1 club. With the prospect of Champions League football with Arsenal appealing to the Albanian.
Cana has been with Marseille since joining from Paris St Germain in 2005 and is believed to be valued at around £6million (€7.6m). Which would present Wenger with a cheaper option than Miguel Veloso at Sporting or Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso, who he has already ruled out a move for.
