Arsenal Midfielder Hleb Decides To Leave Gunners - Real Madrid, Inter & Barcelona All Tracking Winger
Alexander Hleb is certain to be making a move from the Emirates this summer, with three big name clubs in the chase for the talented Belarus winger.
Hleb’s agent, Niki Spilevski, has revealed that Hleb held talks with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger this week before deciding on a move.
“I can officially confirm that a short time ago Alexander decided that he will leave Arsenal and join another club,” said Spilevski.
“Of course Arsenal and Arsene wanted him to stay but they have accepted the player’s choice.”
The 27-year-old Belarus attacking midfielder has been touted with a move to a number of big clubs, with Inter Milan and Barcelona both also said to be interested.
Hleb, who moved to Arsenal for ₤11.2 million from Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart in 2005, has recently had his future with The Gunners under close scrutiny.
A representative for Hleb, Uli Ferber, is overjoyed that his client has been noticed by Spanish Champions Real Madrid and knows that the interest can only be good for Hleb’s confidence.
Ferber, speaking recently to Spanish daily AS, said: "For any player in the world it is always a great honour that a club like Real Madrid is interested in him.
"This confirms the good work that Hleb has been doing in these last few years that he is being recognised by one of the greatest clubs in the world.
"Nobody should have any doubts that the interest from Madrid is a privilege for the player."
