Arsenal & Everton To Back Out Of Race For Wolves’ Hennessey Over £10m Tag?
Arsenal and Everton are said to be interested in signing Wolves keeper Wayne Hennessey although a £10m price-tag may deter the Premiership duo from making a move in January.
The Gunners need cover for Manuel Almunia after the Spanish goalkeeper has established himself as the first-choice for Arsene Wenger’s side, who released Jens Lehmann at the end of last season. Currently, Lukasz Fabianski, 23 is the second-choice.
Everton boss David Moyes is also looking to bring in replacement for Stefan Wessels after the German left at the end of last season leaving first-choice Tim Howard depleted of cover. Also, the Toffees manager wants the new keeper to challenge the US international.
However, the Championship outfit are not to be tempted into parting with the 21-year-old Welsh international Hennessey unless they get the asking price of £10m, according to reports.
