Arsenal Don’t Want Julio Baptista; Brazilian Reviews Options - Real Madrid Not Keen On Jose Antonio Reyes, Atletico Madrid Are
Julio Baptista and Jose Antonio Reyes find themselves in a similar position as reports suggest Arsenal and Real Madrid are against handing the respective player a permanent deal.
Brazilian attacker Baptista, who came from Real for a season’s loan, is not wanted by the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, reported 'Marca'.
Nicknamed ‘the Beast’, Baptista had found his bearings towards the latter stages of the season after taking time to adjust to the English game. He found the back of the net in the Cup games for the Gunners but with the north-Londoners not winning any silverware this season, Wenger is looking towards the future.
Baptista is reportedly reviewing his options as he is approached by German and Turkish clubs.
Spanish striker Reyes, who has been at the Bernabeu on a season-long loan from Arsenal, has seen his fortunes dwindle due to poor form, controversial statements against manager Fabio Capello and injury.
According to reports in Spain, Atletico Madrid are keen on signing Reyes.
