Everton defender Joleon Lescott has apparently emerged as a target for Arsenal and Manchester United.

The 25-year-old, who had joined the Toffees from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2006, plays at left-back and centre-back and has broken into England set-up. He has also shown an eye for goal and has been in great form this season.

According to reports, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson are keeping a close watch on the versatile defender as the season heads into the business end while the transfer window shuts on Thursday mid-night.
