Antonio Valencia To Stay At Wigan Athletic Next Season Despite Interest From Man Utd & Barca
Ecuador international Antonio Valencia insisted that he planned to stay at Wigan for at least another season.
The 22-year old had a terrific season with the Latics, gaining the attention of top clubs including Manchester Untied and Barcelona.
However he claimed that he has not spoken to Man United and does not know about any other linkup.
"I have not been told anything about it," he told El Universo.
"I never spoke with Manchester United."
When questioned whether he will be at the JJB stadium in the next season he replied:
"Yes, I think so. It seems that they want me to stay one more year.
"I feel good to be able to play in The Premier League.
"I hope this will help me play for a bigger team. If it does not happen this year, maybe next year.
"English football is very difficult. I have started to study because you have to speak English to be able to play there."
