Andorra defender Oscar Sonejee has claimed that he is excited at the prospect of facing Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney again, when England play Andorra in their World Cup qualifier.

At the last meeting between the two teams, Rooney and Sonejee exchanged words in a heated confrontation, which resulted in the England forward getting annoyed and frustrated, with former England boss Steve McClaren substituting the United man after being booked before he got sent off.

Sonejee is now looking forward to doing battle with the Old Trafford star once more, with the FC Andorra midfielder labelling his opponent hot and aggressive on the pitch.

Sonnejee said: “We were talking and he said, 'I'm a star player' and insulted me - and then I insulted him back.

‘In his mind, he was thinking, 'Who are Andorra? They have small players and are not professional'. Rooney was arrogant. When he plays Croatia, he's probably not so arrogant.

‘This match was a very hot situation and when Rooney talks, he's very hot and very aggressive. He said things to me and I said them back.

‘But I insulted him back in Spanish, so it's possible he didn't understand.

“I had a strong fight against Rooney last year. It was a battle.”

However, despite the Andorran claiming it is Rooney who is the hothead, Andorra have one of the worst disciplinary records in Europe.
