Agent: Inter, Barcelona & AC Milan Target Drogba Looking To Stay At Chelsea
Ivory Coast International Didier Drogba has been linked with a move away from Chelsea since the sacking of Jose Mourinho in 2007, with Mourinho’s new club Inter Milan along with Barcelona and AC Milan all being reportedly interested in the powerful striker.
However, despite all the speculation surrounding Drogba’s future at Stamford Bridge he still remains contracted to the Blues, with the new Premier League season only weeks away.
30-year-old Drogba joined Chelsea from Olympique Marseille in 2004 for a then club record £23.8million (€30.2m), and despite a slow start to his Chelsea career is now a Favourite at the Bridge, scoring 50 goals in 110 appearances for the West London side.
Drogba’s agent, Tierno Seydhi has now revealed that their is no transfer imminent for his client, reiterating that Drogba is still a Chelsea player.
Frankly there is nothing to departure to talk about because there is no departure in store,” Seydhi told Sport Ivoire.
“He has a contract with Chelsea and is not close to joining any other team.”
