West Ham United took a 5-0 lead against Burnley, with Burnley coming back with three late goals with the score finishing 5-3, with Burnley's Steven Caldwell seeing red in the final minute of the match.

Bolton Wnaderers have drawn 1-1 with Fulham at Craven Cottage, while Manchester City also drew 1-1 with Hull City in their match at Eastlands.

A single Hugo Rodallega strike was enough to see Wigan Athletic beat Sunderland 1-0, while the match between Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City was goalless.

Aston Villa drew 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur in the evening kick-off at Villa Park, with Gabriel Agbonlahor scoring the opener for Villa, but Tottenham pushed hard for an equaliser and eventually found the breakthrough late in the second-half to share the spoils.
